Obituary for James "Jim" Jeremy "Jimbo" Kennedy

James "Jim" Jeremy "Jimbo" Kennedy
JAMES (JIM) JEREMY KENNEDY
MAY 11, 1974 – FEBRUARY 4, 2018

It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of James “Jim, Jimbo” Kennedy, at the age of 43, on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

From a young age, Jimbo was fascinated by transport trucks and automobiles. He was hard worker, getting his first job in Upsala at age 14 pumping gas for the summer. He bought his first car at age 16. Jimbo spent many, many hours with his Dad working on and driving his transports. Jim later owned his own company, Jim Kennedy Trucking. His passion was trucking and even though he lost his left leg in an accident in November 2016, he still planned on owning and driving an automatic transport one day.

Jim is survived by his parents Sharon Blair (Andy Savela) and Jim Kennedy Sr. (Debra Severino); sister, Kristie (Rob) Qualie; nephews, Alex, Jack, Erik and Adam Qualie; step-siblings and their families; grandmothers, Sarah Ann Kennedy and Edna Blair; special friend Lisa Couch and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jim will be missed by many family and friends across the country. He was a generous, loyal friend and would always volunteer his help to those who needed it.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jimbo's life will be held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 in the parish hall of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church (675 Red River Road, please use Windemere St. entrance and parking).

Should friends so desire, donations to George Jeffrey Children`s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma in care of arrangements.
