Condolence: A beautiful tribute to a woman who I remember to be larger than life. I met her many times coming out to see plays. May she rest in peace and sorry Anne and Will for your loss.

Condolence: Dear Will, Anne, Julia, and Andrea. My condolences on Peggy's passing. Mother Merlin as I came to know her was a unique personality, talented and always charming, with a sharp and insightful sense of humour. Her contagious smile was rarely missing and brightened any surroundings. The thought that keeps returning, as I ponder Mother Merlin, is that after we met or talked on the phone, she always left me smiling and feeling better than before our conversation. She made the world a better place. I'm so sorry for your loss. John

Condolence: Anne. Everytime I think of your mom, I break into a big smile. She always had that effect on me. She and I shared a lot of laughter. She was so vivacious and full of the zest of life. I once suggested a nickname for her, "Mags", which she immediately professed to hate. Of course that's what I called her from then on. I recall so many thoughtful and lively conversations with your mom; she was a lively and invigorating conversationalist. I remember on the day of my wedding, your mom was parked outside the church and when she saw me, hollered to me. Wearing her trademark big smile and full of enthusiasm, she gave me the heartiest and most loving congratulations. She was so very happy for me. The lady had so much heart.

Condolence: Anne. Sorry to hear of your moms passing. She was quite the accomlished person and lived a good full life. The circle goes on as she now has a permanent home, reunited with your dad and with our Heavenly Father. I am sure you will miss her presence dearly but take comfort that she is always near to you and your family.

Condolence: Dear Anne and Will, I am happy I got to meet your mom a few times during these last few years and to witness her expressions of joy in the small and great things life offered up, including spending time with her two precious children on a summer excursion to a beach on the shores of Lake Superior, followed by a delicious ice cream cone. Her beauty, kind heart and quircky humour are lasting memories that will always keep the light in your own hearts burning bright.

Condolence: Anne and Will,
Your mother was one-of-a kind, a bit larger than life, and always true to herself. What a role model growing up! As you get through the next few weeks of this new reality, I'm sure all her lasting gifts of spirit will become apparent. In the end, there was only love. That's what you will take with you going forward forever. Alison

Condolence: Dear Anne and Will. This is truly a time of loss and I hope you weather the sadness, and are uplifted by your mother's lifelong gifts and memories. I'll always remember Mrs. Merlin as someone who wasn't afraid to wear hats, who loved music and song, who had wit and humour, who took a genuine interest in her daughter's friends. I'm sure she will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Anne & Will
You're in my thoughts in the tumultuous time of loss and peace and upheaval. Emotions tumble and spill, but steadfast at the core of them all is love. No doubt the seeds of love your mum planted are deeply rooted and have spread farther than you can know.
Be gentle with yourselves. I hope you have comfort and support and love in this time of loss.

Condolence: Dear Family of Mr & Mrs Merlin. I am so sorry for your loss. I used to be a cashier at Safeway on Arthur St and often both Mr & Mrs would come through my check out. They were always so full of love, happiness and humour. They’d put a smile on my face that would last the whole day! ♥️ R.I.P. Forever ♥️
