Obituary for Mr. Ronald William Archibald Norland
Mr. Ronald “Ron” Norland, age 83 years, passed away peacefully in Bethammi Nursing Home on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
Ron was born in Port Arthur. He worked for various employers as a surveyor, but the majority of his working life was spent at Hogarth-Westmount as a stationary engineer. After retirement he enjoyed visiting the casino as well as playing Bingo. He was an avid Blue Jays fan. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors and going on road trips.
Ron is survived by his wife Emily; daughters Lisa Norland (Richard) and Louise (Joe) Drake; grandson Rico Norland (Wendy); granddaughters Chrystal and Katrina Norland; great-grandson Lucas Norland; step-daughter Geraldine Gangara; granddaughter Stephanie Gangara (Nate Moses); great-granddaughter Kierra Moses; brother Ted (Kathy) Norland; and nephews Dan (Kim) Norland and Brian (Loren) Norland.
He was predeceased by his parents Archie and Elvera Norland and son Luke Norland.
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am in EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
