Obituary for Mr. Mihovil "Miho" Jakovljevic
Mr. Mihovil “Miho” Jakovljevic, age 51 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
Miho was born in Vares, Sarajevo on August 11, 1967, and came to Canada in August 1968 with his parents, Ivan and Lozika “Ana” and sister, Dijana. At a young age he started working, selling ice cream, mowing lawns and babysitting. When he was 12 years old, Miho began working at the Dorion Inn which was operated by his parents. He was always happy, and full of jokes, Miho was a man with a big heart and will be missed.
Survived by his father, Ivan; sister Dijana Mazur and her daughter, Tessa Putland and her family; half brother, Ivan; uncles and their families, Marijan Jakovcic, Mato Jakovcic, Ivan Mutic, Jakov Jolunic; aunts and their families Margareta Nikolic and her sons Jagor and Darko, Mila Zapcic and her daughter, Andrea, Ana Surkic and her sons Drazan and Miroslav, Irena Bacina and, Manda Jacovcic.
Predeceased by his mother, Lozika “Ana” Jakovljevic and niece Michelle Mazur.
Funeral Services for the late Mr. Miho Jakovljevic will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:30pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Fr. Antoni Fujarczuk officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
