Obituary for Mrs. Rose Abbott (Wilson)

ROSE ABBOTT
September 4, 1944 – November 6, 2022

The family announces with great sorrow the sudden passing of Rose Abbott, age 78 years, peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Rose is the beloved wife of Clifford (predeceased); mother to Lynda (predeceased) (Harv), Gwen (Yve), Russell (Susie), Don (Elizabeth) and Dan; grandmother to Cameron, Jordan, Spencer and Aysia, and extended grandmother to many more. She is also survived by her sisters Joyce (she is still available... Lol), Valarie (Lorne), Belinda (Gord), Barb, Wanda and Martina and 3 remaining brothers, Archie, Dennis and William, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

She was predeceased by her parents, Gus and Eva Wilson, brothers Robert, Raymond (Beatrice), Joe (Ann), granddaughter Ruth and great nieces Daisy and Emily.

Everyone will agree that her infectious laugh, wittiness and love for all, gained her many long lasting friendships from an early age in life to friendships just starting out. Rose had many passions, her grandchildren being #1. But she enjoyed outdoor living, BINGO... Lol, Elvis and her job, especially the people she worked with and those she saw throughout the day. She also loved hunting and fishing back in the day with Clifford, Joe, Raymond, Harv and Lynda. They never always caught something, but guaranteed, there were plenty of laughs going around. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and met her.

A private service has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
