Obituary for Mrs. Agnes Closs Rose (Colquhoun)

Agnes Rose

Mrs. Agnes Rose, age 97 years, passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor on April 29, 2023. Agnes was born in Port Arthur on October 21, 1925 to Agnes and William Colquhoun. She was a Veteran as she had enlisted in the R.C.A.F in WWII. In her early days, she held the position of a Deputy Sherriff at the courthouse and worked at the Third Small Claims Court. Agnes married Gordon Rose, August 23, 1949, who predeceased her 23-years-ago. She was also predeceased by her parents and sisters Christina Hunt, Jean Reid, and Ellen Overby. She enjoyed family time at Trout Lake, trips abroad and playing bridge with friends.Agnes will be dearly missed by her family, Rodger Rose (Anne), Mary-Ellen McCooeye (Mike), Beth Wickstrom (Dennis) and Kelly Rose-Perzan (Tony). Also left to mourn are her grandchildren, David Morrison (Christine), Matthew McCooeye (Courtney), Andrew McCooeye, Krista McCooeye (Josh), Stephanie Opas (Trevor), Elizabeth Perzan (Jaret). Great-grandchildren Rylee and Nora, Kyle, Emily, Jaelynn and Megan, Charlotte and Sydney and nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at 7 South Hogarth Riverview Manor and Dr. Webster for excellent care. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date with a private family interment.Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
